| T in Urinalysis |
[Aug. 3rd, 2008|04:15 am] |
Quick question: has anyone (who is or even was on T) had trouble with failing a urinalysis (or blood test) because it detected the "steroid" in your system? (Is prescribed "testosterone cypionate" the same as the synthetic steroids that are usually banned, or might it be overlooked as a natural hormone, if at an unusually high level?)
(Might add more details later.) X posted to _ftm_, testosterone, and transhealth |

| Worried about a shot. |
[May. 12th, 2008|03:01 pm] |
I've been injecting T for about two and a half months now - my dose is 1/2cc per week of 200mg/mL Testosterone Cypionate.
The only problems I've had so far were after the first shot, when the muscle spasmed and cramped really badly, but since that was my first one, I was nervous, the nurse did it for me, and afterwards I walked for three hours uphill... it was understandable. Every other time has been fine... except today's.
Today was quite different; I'm home from college, for one thing, so I was nervous about being walked in on. I also just got a new bag of needles, and they seemed a little different: they are, they're 31G instead of 30G, and 5/16" instead of the 1/2" I had before. Somehow I didn't notice. (Regardless, I'm not going to use these again; I'm going to the pharmacy this week to get better ones.)
So I'm pretty sure they're too short for intramuscular injections, because today's really hurt. I aspirated twice to be absolutely sure I wasn't in a vein, once before I started plunging, once afterwards, and no blood came up.
The two problems that are worrying me are that first, a LOT of the goo came back up today - enough to make a dime-sized puddle, which I wiped away with an alcohol swab, and about half as much came back. That seems like quite a lot, especially since I'm on such a small dose to begin with (and I'm not sure I got the full 1/2cc anyway; I let more than usual dribble from the needle because I was nervous).
But the pain is also worrying. It's a definite sting/BURN and it's radiating from the injection site. Skin doesn't appear to be red or raised, but it's definitely tender, and when I try to rub it in like the nurse showed me it hurts more. My leg is still mobile, and the pain got worse for about ten minutes before starting to subside a little, but it still burns rather worryingly. This was all 15-20 minutes ago as I write.
I'm pretty sure I didn't hit a vein, but I'm NOT sure it all went into the muscle. Should I be worried, what should I look out for, and how will this affect my absorption of the T?

| T level confusion |

This last time my T was tested at 'peak' levels, 2 1/2 days after my injection. Before, my doctor has always tested it at it's lowest point, literally the same day I do my injection, but before the injection. The prior time I was tested, it was Total T - 662, at lowest point. **Cross posted** |

| 'toverdose... |
[Aug. 17th, 2007|09:32 am] |
so i feel pretty dumb... i may have injected 400 mg of testosterone in two weeks, instead of the normal 200 mg in two weeks. i simply lost track of time... i was so positive i needed a shot this friday. afterward, i couldn't recall if last friday was really two weeks ago in my brain. working graveyard & dayshift interchangeably fucks with my internal clock.
so i may have injected 200 mg last friday, and 200 mg just now. normally i keep a T calendar on my lj & check beforehand to confirm my internal clock, but lately i have been disorganized & offline & sick/ overworked... consequently, i didn't record my last few shots.
google told me overdose is rare. i couldn't find anything that explained exactly how much T could shut down your liver/ kidneys/ everything else. anybody know stuff about this?
should i be worried? thanks... drew |

| testosterone face |
[Jun. 26th, 2007|03:06 pm] |
so here's the deal: it's been 1 year, 4 months on full dose (200 mg (1cc) of T, every 2 weeks). call me impatient, but it's about time for some facial hair. so far, it's been the same pattern of scratchy (light brown/blonde) hairs, mixed with peach fuzz, that shadow where facial hair is supposed to be, but never grow substantially or fully enough to keep. invisible, unless i tell you from one foot away, "look, a mustache, kind-of!"... i've tried hair dye, waiting 11 days before shaving, shaving often, etc-- all not helping. you can feel it more than you can see it.
yesterday dr. winn (a la mazzoni center in philly) gave me testim, 1% testosterone gel to apply to my face every day, in addition to injecting full dose bi-weekly. i was skeptical when he presented the idea, 'cause i've never heard of other guys doing this or it working for facial hair specifically. nothing so far, except that it smells kind of rosy, like macy's perfume department : /
so, onto my question(s)!: have any guys here successfully or unsuccessfully grown facial hair as a result of applying testosterone gel to the face??
otherwise, are there any other secret hair-growth remedies out there??? (that i can't already find on FTM websites or a google search.)
and for lighter-haired guys, how long did you have to wait before full sideburns/ goatee were possible?
slow coming, drew

Has anyone tried or been on Sustanon or Testosterone Propionate (specifically Testovis)?
